Instructions for the Use and Care of Tamashii® Bracelets

26 January 2026

Tamashii® bracelets are handcrafted in Tibet using natural materials. To preserve their beauty and durability over time, it is important to adjust them correctly and take proper care of them. Below is a practical guide on how to adjust a Tamashii® bracelet and how to care for it over time.

How to adjust a Tamashii® bracelet

Tamashii® bracelets are designed to fit any wrist thanks to the loops already formed in the cord, through which the fastening button is inserted.

Find the correct size
Wear the bracelet for at least one full day to understand which loop feels most comfortable and best suits your wrist size. The ideal loop should measure approximately 1 cm, allowing the button to pass through the narrowest point with gentle pressure, without being either too loose or too tight.

Adjust the loop
If the loop is too wide, untie the small knot gently and retie it, adjusting the size as needed.
The aim is to create a loop that allows the button to pass through easily while remaining securely in place, preventing the bracelet from accidentally slipping off. Once you have found the correct size, tighten the knot firmly.

Cutting and sealing the cord
Once the bracelet has been adjusted:
– cut off the excess cord leaving a small portion
– carefully bring the cut end close to a flame, such as a candle or lighter, to seal the fibres
– finally, press the end gently between your thumb and index finger to help seal the waxed layer of the cord.

This process helps prevent fraying and keeps the bracelet more resistant over time.

Caring for Tamashii® Bracelets

The materials used in Tamashii® bracelets are natural and, for this very reason, may undergo changes when exposed to certain conditions.

Avoid substances and liquids
We recommend avoiding contact with cosmetics, perfumes, chlorine, fresh water, salt water and thermal water. Some natural stones, as they are rich in mineral salts, may also react to the skin’s pH, slightly changing their appearance over time.

Wear and humid environments
Like any jewel, accessory or item of clothing worn daily, a Tamashii® bracelet may be subject to normal wear and tear. In particular, frequent contact with water or prolonged exposure to very humid environments causes repeated changes in the volume of the cord as it alternates between dry and damp conditions, which may gradually lead to the breaking of the fibres.

When it is best not to wear it
We recommend removing the bracelet during sports activities, manual work and in conditions that may cause deterioration, such as prolonged exposure to UV rays or high temperatures. Removing the bracelet in these situations helps preserve its integrity and extend its lifespan.
